Michael Kaye's professional experience is an open book that spans a great distance and covers an encyclopedia of different topics.
Mr. Kaye, started his career in the information technology working in a call center answering technical support issues after leaving college in Ohio. Within three years, he had climbed the corporate ladder to being executive relocated to Atlanta, GA to hold the position of a field service engineer supporting Fortune 500 clients and America's top 100 law firms. After two years of racking up SkyMiles traveling nonstop across the southeast of the United States, he left to take the position of Director of IT for a mid-size consulting firm that specialized in the banking world. Three years later he transitioned from leading the information technology department to assisting on consulting projects with banks and credit unions across North America. During his tenure he contributed to several publications and white papers, by co-authoring three white papers, as well as leading the firm's Online Banking Survey project for two consecutive years and co-authored the results in the annual publication. The Online Banking Survey was a three-month project that took an in-depth examination of the online banking capabilities of more than 200 banks in North & South America.
Consulting with financial institutions created a passion to learn about all aspects of America's financial industry. In 2005, Mr. Kaye took a large financial risk resigning from his Vice President position to start his own consulting firm which expanded beyond consulting to banks by expanding into financial technology companies, card processors, investment management company, and asset management firms. The success of his own consulting firm, enabled him to co-found five other companies in information technology, ecommerce, firearms, and the entertainment industries.
In 2013, Mr. Kaye on a dare from his stepdaughter wrote and self-published his first non-fiction novel, Oh Sh!t - The Awakening, became an Amazon's Top 25 Best Selling novel for 2014, making him also a USA Today Best Selling author.
In 2017, Mr. Kaye started "paying it forward" by mentoring startup founders at several technology incubators around Atlanta, including assisting with educational classes for startup founders on the topics of customer discovery, sales, financial awareness, and investor readiness at GaTech's Advanced Technology Development Center.
In 2020, Mr. Kaye sold his last business and retired with his wife in the north Georgia mountains. Today, he continues to mentor a variety of startup founders, enjoys spending time with his wife, three dogs, and watching his step daughter build her own career. He is an avid 2nd Amendment supporter, enjoying hunting, long distance shooting, and pistol competitions, he is a lifetime member of the NRA and the GOA, a financial supporter of the Republican party, and is a self proclaimed political and economic news junkie
